Delete your account

Your data is yours. When you want it gone, it goes — here's how.

The fastest way: in the app

Open Subtext, tap your avatar, and choose "Delete account & data". That's it. It works for every account type — including anonymous sign-ins — and it's immediate and irreversible: every story, every chat, every uploaded message, every image, and the login itself are erased.

Just one story, or just the messages

You don't have to burn it all down. From any story you can delete that single story, or clear just the messages behind it — keeping the insights while removing the retained chat data.

Without the app

No app, no problem. Email privacy@subtext.love from the address on your account. If you signed in anonymously, describe the account instead — when you used it, what you analyzed — so we can find it. We verify the request and erase everything within 30 days.

What gets deleted, what stays

Deleted — everything

• Your stories (reports, insights, health scores, images)
• Your chats with Subtext AI
• Uploaded chat exports and any retained sampled messages
• Cross-relationship insights (Common Threads)
• Your waitlist entry
• The account itself — email, sign-in identity, settings

Retained

• Purchase records, where we're legally required to keep them for financial and tax obligations
• Aggregated, de-identified statistics that can't be traced back to you

One more thing

Raw chat exports don't wait for a deletion request. They're automatically deleted within 3 days of upload — immediately once your deep dive is written — whether you ever ask or not. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
